question
how do the people who hold up cues for newscasters and other talk show hosts like david letterman know when to change the cards? i know most of them use computers now but i still see some people behind cameras with cards. do they have to memorize them to know when to change it? do they have to write a word cue for themselves on the back of the card? these are the things that keep me up at night.

wow. ask a stupid question and get a smart answer. my whole thinking is that if they have to memorize them, and write them, they should get paid more. jon, are you coming to cleve for my recital?
well, i'd say it's probably the same way the page turner person knows how to turn the page for the pianist; one part intuition, one part knowledge of the material.
while you are enjoying all that fresh clean snow and having fun slipping around the roads and wearing those stylish boots hats scarves and gloves, we here in FL are dealing with sunshine, low humidity and temps in the 70s and 80s. so we have to do things like ride bikes; sunbathe; barbeque; contemplate the gorgeous sunsets over the lake - you know it's tough. such a disconnect to hear xmas music and wear bathing suits.
can't wait for the recital!!
