au revoir, bon voyage

sorry for the lack of writing lately. i've been running around trying to get stuff together before i leave town and haven't had much to blog about lately. i'm going to miami tomorrow morning to play with the new world symphony. www.nws.edu. it's something i'd like to do next year so i hope i can at least prove to them that i'm competant. we're playing elgar 2nd symphony and beethoven piano concerto no. 4. i haven't played either before and i don't really feel comfortable with my part yet, not how i wanted to feel the night before, but i still have tomorrow on the plane to listen and look at my part and then time in the afternoon to go over some stuff. it's weird, i'm more nervous than i thought i'd be. i'm really excited to see my family and have them come to a concert. i don't think my mom has seen me play in orchestra since...well, this summer, but before then in over four years! my grandma definitely hasn't seen me play since high school which, by the way, in that orchestra concert in alice tully hall she stood up in between pieces and screamed "go joanna!" i wonder if i would be deemed unprofessional if she did that again. hmm.

apparently i had a close up on fox news friday night at 11 playing with the cleveland women's orchestra? anybody? i'm trying to find it on their website. i missed my big moment.

dan is begging me not to blog anymore. i won't have a computer until i get to my mom's house on monday. i've got to go finish packing. i'm going to be gone for 9 days with access to a washer dryer at my mom's place. so obviously i have to bring my whole wardrobe!

so guys, especially you jon, try and keep it together until i get to a computer on sunday night. oh, and bro, can't wait to see you for 15 hours on thanksgiving day!
