the blogger, 5 hours later

well it was my first day as a blogger and let me tell you, it's been great. i feel a bit taller and am considering making myself a press pass to get into all the important government debates around here. do you think my blog would count as the publication i write for?

in other news, i made it so everyone can leave comments anonymously so i don't have another creative moment by my brother or should i say "punk nasty."

and like all ohioans (ohioins, ohioites??) i am getting really for the big election on tuesday. seriously, did anybody know it was election day so close? i am apparently signed up to do phone canvassing for issues 2-4 but i don't know what they are yet. in case other people are in my boat i found a pdf of the issues at www.reformohionow.org. i guess if i decide i want to vote for them i'll spend a couple of hours making phone calls to people this saturday. i think it's really important to vote and i don't think as many people are as jazzed to vote as they were last year for some strange reason....:)

i practiced my excerpts for the first time in so long and surprisingly they felt better than i expected. i declared a full out war on battle on rushing which brought on a counter attack by dragging. i solved my problems by playing every other measure in the piece but letting the metronome go so i could see which measures i had "programmed" myself to start late or early and then rush or drag. it seemed to work really well--any other ideas?

dan is out doing guy things with some guy friends so i am going to watch the apprentice alone...anyone want to come over? i have 4-day old jelly-bean pumpkins!
