pain in the back

after audition after audition, my mind feels overwhelmed, bogged down, and defeated.
apparently my back feels the same way. i strained my rhomboid muscle from "repetative use," i.e. viola. i feel like such a baby but i just want to complain all the time. i'm in pain all the time, but not that much pain. and the doctor tells me that if playing viola makes it hurt, it's not going to heal if i don't stop for a while. EXCUSE ME? STOP? it's just not an option and right now i don't feel like i have any options. wah wah wah. i keep thinking, one more day, it'll get better tomorrow. and then, ok, two days...three...how much longer can this go on? it's one thing to not want to play from exhaustion of the mind. but if my doc tells me i can't because of my back? i'm sorry, that is unacceptable! well...typing is making it worse too so i guess that's it for now.
